To break the poverty cycle, Indigenous people need access to capital that builds wealth. Because of the colonisation of Indigenous nations, First People have been denied access to capital markets and have had limited access to banking services over centuries.

Australia's first bank, the Bank of New South Wales (now Westpac), opened in Sydney in 1817. The financial system has profited from genocide and disadvantage for too long. It's time banks put their money where their mouth is and commit to a 3% Pledge to help close the disparity gaps through investments and lending services.
